Openning Break

Starting player must either (1) designate a ball and a pocket into which that ball will be pocketed and accomplish the shot, or (2) cause the cue ball to contact a ball and then a cushion, plus cause two object balls to contact a cushion. Failure to meet at least one of the above requirements is a breaking violation. Offenderís score is assessed a 2-point penalty for each breaking violation. In addition, the opponent has the choice of (1) accepting the table in position, or (2) having the balls re-racked and requiring the offending player to repeat the opening break. That choice continues until the opening break is not a breaking violation, or until the opponent accepts the table in position. The three successive fouls rule does not apply to breaking violations. If the starting player scratches on a legal opening break, he is charged with a foul and assessed a one point penalty, which applies toward the "Successive Fouls Penalties". The incoming player is awarded cue ball in hand behind the head string, with object balls in position.

A 2 point penalty is assessed for each unsuccessful break shot.

3 Foul rule: 15 point deduction, warn your opponent if they are on two, otherwise no deduction.
Only standard fouls are counted, so a breaking foul does not count as one of the three fouls.

Shot Supervision – anyone in the league but not in the match

The rack can be placed on the table to see if the potential 15th ball is in the rack

Special Circumstances

Refusing to shoot = unsportsman like conduct 15 point foul

Intentionally hitting the cue ball multiple times = unsportsman like conduct 15 point foul

Ferule to cue, forward motion or not = 1 point foul

Cue tip to cue, no forward motion = 1 point foul

Pocket Scratch on Break = 1 point foul

Missed Matches: If you can’t make a match, it is up to you to contact your opponent and reschedule. Call ahead of time to avoid unnecessary trips.

Missing 3 matches without advising your opponent will earn you a one session suspension

Splitting Matches: If you have to split your match over two days due to time constraints you do not have to pay extra greens fees to the house.

If your handicap changes between the two games you play the second

game at your new handicap.

First two weeks no longer applicable

The First 2 Weeks: are scheduled by random drawing, this is a shakeout period to give new players a chance to decide if they want to continue, these matches count as competition matches. After that a round robin will be drawn and everyone who is still in, is expected to finish the session and play all scheduled matches. This also means whoever you play in the first two weeks, you will play again, in the round robin. Rescheduling a round robin in mid-session is very difficult and byes are disruptive.

Leaving After the First 2 Weeks: If a player must resign the league after the first two weeks (due to death or similar lame excuse) but before the middle of the session the wins and losses for that player are removed. If the player must resign after the middle of the session all remaining matches are forfeited and the opponents will receive 2 wins for each match not played, all prior results stand.

After the Session Ends: There is a 2-week break before the next session starts. This give an opportunity for all outstanding Make-ups matches to be played and reported.
